Role overview

ThriftBooks is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain our primary customer-facing ecommerce applications. In this role, you will work closely with a collaborative and highly motivated engineering team to deliver scalable, high-quality software that directly supports business growth. You will contribute to technical decisions, mentor other engineers, and help shape the evolution of our platform.

What you'll do

  • Build features for thriftbooks.com, typically involving C#, React, and SQL Server.
  • Maintain performance, scalability, and reliability across thriftbooks.com features and infrastructure.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
  • Review code, provide constructive feedback, and mentor other engineers.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, participate in on-call rotations, and resolve production issues as needed.

Location

This is a hybrid position with in-person days in Tukwila, WA or remote in Phoenix, AZ.

Compensation and Benefits

  • BASE SALARY: $120,000 - $145,000/yr. This range reflects the good-faith hiring base salary range for this position. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.
