Job Description

Role overview

Under direct supervision of the Director, Mail Services and with a warm customer service approach, this role handles major receiving operations for inbound and outbound shipments and assists in serving customers who approach in person to the Campus Post Office.

Responsibilities

  • Operate pallet jack
  • Lift packages and stack on carts for easy transport
  • Obtain and deliver paper as needed from the bulk stock area
  • Maintain Central Stores orders daily
  • Assist customers at service counter
  • Perform related and special duties as assigned
  • Assist in mail processing functions including: mail sorting, receiving, office supply distribution/inventory, mail assembly and truck/van driving on occasion
  • Provide outstanding customer service over the phone and via email, while making deliveries and serving at the service counter
  • Process batch shipping labels for departments
  • Pickup and delivery of mail to and from USPS and partners when needed
  • Pickup and delivery of Moody Publishers Distribution mail
  • Perform related and special duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to operate electric and non-electric pallet jacks
  • Legible handwriting skills
  • Ability to regularly lift packages 50 lbs. or less
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Authorized to work in the US legally, without sponsorship

  • Over two years of experience working with mail or in a warehouse

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to sit, bend and stoop. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 55 pounds (with assistance if needed). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This is a full-time position that typically works between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm. Local travel is occasionally needed for this position.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation Range: $18.00 - $20.00 USD Hourly. The compensation above is the estimated hiring range for this position. Final offers are determined based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and other job-related considerations.
