Role overview
At selfpublishing.com, we empower purpose-driven individuals to transform their ideas into published books and create life-changing impact. Through online education, coaching, and comprehensive services, we enable aspiring authors to share their stories globally. Our ambitious mission is to help 100,000 people publish a book by 2035, generating "Leveraged Impact" that touches over 120 million lives. We are a four-time INC 5000 honoree and are poised for continued growth.
Are you a versatile designer with a knack for making anything visually appealing and driving conversions? Join us to own our brand's visual identity across all touchpoints. We're seeking a proactive designer to elevate our brand, not just maintain it. Your primary focus will be to serve as the design engine for our content, funnels, and overall brand, leveraging sharp visual and storytelling instincts.
Responsibilities
- Content Graphics: Produce compelling YouTube thumbnails and Instagram carousels that not only align with our brand but set a new standard for its visual representation.
- Digital Design: Design and optimize landing pages, blog post pages, and website elements to effectively convert visitors into leads and customers.
- Presentation Design: Create polished speaker slides and presentation decks for Chandler Bolt and the team that captivate audiences both on stage and online.
- Storytelling & Copy: Infuse strong visual storytelling and copywriting skills into every asset, ensuring thumbnails and carousels effectively convey a message and drive engagement.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain a high level of polish and brand alignment across all graphics, pages, and assets, ensuring a cohesive visual identity across all channels.
- Design Operations: Efficiently manage multiple design requests, prioritize based on impact, and deliver high-quality drafts in a timely manner.
- Goal: Elevate every visual touchpoint, from a thumbnail to a keynote slide, to actively build trust and drive action, rather than merely fulfilling a requirement.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of design experience, with a portfolio showcasing demonstrable success in creating and improving thumbnails, carousels, web pages, and landing pages.
- Proficiency in design software including Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, and a web design tool such as Webflow or Figma.
- Strong instincts for copywriting and storytelling, with the ability to pair visuals with text to capture attention and stop scrolls.
- A keen understanding of design as a growth lever, focusing on conversion and effectiveness over mere aesthetics.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across video, social media, and web without compromising quality.
- Comfort with receiving feedback and iterating quickly and professionally.
- A portfolio link is required for application.
