Role overview
The Marketing Operations team at HarperCollins Christian Publishing is looking for a book-loving intern to join us in a paid summer role. We work across every publishing division, connecting with authors, editors, sales teams, and marketers to keep the business running smoothly. This is a fast-paced environment where flexibility is key, collaboration is expected, and no two days are the same! Responsibilities
- Dive headfirst into the world of digital marketing, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of areas like email marketing, SEO, social media, paid advertising, data analytics, Amazon marketing, and more.
- Get certified: Gain in-depth knowledge of all things digital marketing and earn multiple platform certifications.
- Master SEO tools: Work with SEO platforms to analyze websites and uncover actionable insights.
- Be part of the action: Attend editorial, marketing, and titling meetings to experience the publishing life cycle.
- Learn social: Assist with social media strategies, from social listening to crafting content plans.
- Spot the trends: Research the latest marketing and consumer trends to help our imprints stay ahead of the curve.
- Crack Amazon’s algorithm: Explore Amazon’s marketing options and learn the art of metadata optimization.
- Crunch the numbers: Present data analytics and reporting to key stakeholders to drive better decisions.
- Nerd out: Be surrounded by other bookish people who treat pub announcements like the Super Bowl.
Qualifications
- Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028 are eligible for this internship.
- Open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry-level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience.
- A passion for books is highly valued!
- Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
- Experience with any of the following tools is a plus: Excel, Canva, Airtable, SQL, or PowerBI.
Logistics
- Candidates must be available to work 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from June 7 to August 12, 2027.
- Tuesdays and Wednesdays are mandatory in-office days at our Nashville headquarters.
- Mondays and Thursdays are remote workdays.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits
