Role overview
BRAVE Books is looking for a Marketing Copywriter to craft clear, compelling, and conversion-driven messaging for all of our marketing channels. This role is responsible for writing copy for ads, landing pages, emails, product descriptions, and video scripts. Your goal would be to develop messaging that aligns with our mission, resonates with our audience, and drives measurable results.
This role is ideal for a sharp writer who understands persuasion, brand voice, and direct response marketing.
Responsibilities
- Write high-converting copy for paid ads on Meta, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Develop landing page copy optimized for conversion rate and clarity.
- Write email campaigns and flows that drive engagement and sales.
- Create product descriptions, offer messaging, and promotional copy for launches.
- Write scripts for video ads, UGC content, and marketing promos.
- Maintain and protect the BRAVE brand voice across all marketing touchpoints.
- Collaborate with designers, editors, and media buyers to bring campaigns to life.
- Research and understand customer pain points, objections, and motivations.
- Iterate copy based on performance data, feedback, and testing results.
- Support campaign ideation with hooks, headlines, angles, and positioning.
- Stay informed on cultural, political, and faith-based trends relevant to our audience.
- Deliver high-quality work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Exceptional written communication skills with a strong command of tone and structure.
- Proven ability to write persuasive, action-oriented marketing copy.
- Experience writing for digital marketing channels (ads, emails, landing pages, etc.).
- Ability to adapt messaging to different formats, audiences, and offers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to self-edit.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of projects.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and receive feedback with a growth mindset.
- Comfortable working under deadlines in a performance-driven environment.
- Alignment with BRAVE Books’ mission and values.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of experience as a marketing or direct-response copywriter.
- Experience writing copy for eCommerce, subscriptions, or media brands.
- Familiarity with conversion rate optimization and A/B testing.
- Understanding of paid media frameworks and performance metrics.
- Background in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
- Experience working with faith-based or values-driven brands.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $56,000 - $61,000
- Competitive salary and regular additional incentives.
