Role overview

Lakeside Book Company is the largest book manufacturer in North America. We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician 3 to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment.

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing building and manufacturing equipment, as well as electronic systems. You will also perform preventative maintenance on motors and work with PLC, CNC, and robotic equipment and controls. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical code guidelines and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay: $30.25 – $36.60 per hour for day shift
  • $.50 per hour shift differential for night shift
  • $100 Safety Glasses Reimbursement
  • $175 Safety Shoe Reimbursement
  • Company to provide needed tools
  • Uniforms Provided
  • Relocation assistance

Work Hours

  • 6pm - 6am

Location

  • North Plant at 1009 Sloan St., Crawfordsville, IN 47933
  • South Plant at 600 State Road 32 West, Crawfordsville, IN 47933
  • This position is for both locations.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a manner that ensures the safety of yourself and co-workers at all times.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install building and manufacturing equipment.
  • Install, modify, and repair electronic systems.
  • Gather information and feedback from other departments regarding repairs and machine efficiency.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair motors.
  • Understand, repair, and program PLC, CNC, and robotic equipment and controls.
  • Follow national and electrical code guidelines.
  • Work in a team environment and cross-train with others.
  • Receive training to help advance your career.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in an industrial setting
  • Experience with PLC and Drive Systems
  • Ability to read schematic diagrams, manuals, and specifications
  • Associates degree in electronics or equivalent experience in an electronics trade
  • Preference will be given to candidates who agree to participate in cross-training, including achieving qualified status within the position and assuming responsibility as a backup for lateral and progressive roles, as needed.
