The Inside Sales Account Manager will manage and grow an assigned territory and customer base by developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
This role will execute strategic territory plans, conduct targeted customer outreach, and collaborate with internal and external partners to expand market penetration and deliver customer-focused solutions. Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. This is a remote role with a requirement for 25%-50% travel throughout the year in the territory of Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Idaho, and Utah. The preferred candidate should reside in Denver or Phoenix.
What you'll do
- Attains and surpasses sales goals with the proven ability to advance sales and build customer relationships to maintain and expand market penetration.
- Travels to local customers weekly with some overnight travel.
- Develops and maintains customer profiles, builds new contacts/customers, and identifies and influences customer needs.
- Communicates internally and externally to influence sales.
- Performs targeted customer outreach by phone and email to build and maintain pipeline.
- Creates and executes strategic territory plans with organization and follow through.
- Prioritizes customer base and ensure availability, visibility, and promotional activity with respect to that base.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 3+ years’ education and/or sales experience required.
- Microsoft software skills: Outlook and Power Point (basic), Word and Excel (intermediate), Salesforce CRM.
- Proven ability to organize daily tasks effectively, manage time efficiently, and complete work without external distractions.
- Prior experience working in the educational publishing space is highly preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is between $62,000 - $75,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
- An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package.
