Role overview

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our Manufacturing team in LaVergne, TN. This role will report to the HR Manager and provide general support and administration across various HR functions, including staffing, benefits, HRIS, compensation, employee relations, and leaves of absence (including FMLA).

The HR Coordinator will serve as a point of contact for client group managers and associates, answering routine questions based on HR guidelines, policies, and programs. This position requires managing multiple priorities, producing accurate work in a professional environment, and adapting to frequent interruptions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service, possess strong detail orientation, superior organizational skills, and consistent follow-through, with a keen interest in process improvement and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains associate files, ensuring recordkeeping aligns with Company and state/federal law.
  • Supports the onboarding of new associates, including facilitating new hire orientation and ensuring timely offboarding.
  • Serves as a resource for benefit-related questions and partners with the corporate benefits team.
  • Coordinates the annual open enrollment process, biometrics, and wellness initiatives.
  • Manages the administration of all changes to associate records in the HRIS (PeopleSoft).
  • Coordinates and maintains records for FMLA, Workers' Compensation, STD, and personal leaves of absence, including UKG coding, acting as the primary point of contact when appropriate.
  • Escalates complex associate relations issues to ensure consistent company-wide practices.
  • Liaises with Corporate partners and third-party administrators for Short Term Disability claims.
  • Assists the HR Manager and HR Generalist in promoting effective employee relations programs.
  • Responds promptly to customer needs and concerns.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiencies and customer service.
  • Participates in the implementation of approved process changes for the HR function and monitors/reports on results.
  • Provides input and support for various HR initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 2 years of experience in an HR function OR 3 years of experience in an administrative function

Preferred

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • MS Excel proficiency (creating reports, extracting data, conducting VLOOKUP)
  • Experience with HR systems (UKG, PeopleSoft, Smart Recruiters ATS, DocuSign)
  • Working knowledge of the LOA process from beginning to end, including FMLA, Disability insurance, and other federally mandated programs.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and solve problems.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to develop effective interpersonal working relationships across the business landscape.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hiring Salary Range: $22.17/hr - $27.48/hr. This range will be determined by factors including the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
