We're looking for an editorial intern to help shape our Substack and wider journalism on creativity, culture and technology. You'll pitch, write and edit pieces, reach out to writers and sources, and help the publication find its readers.
This role suits someone who has worked extensively on student journals, literary magazines, and other sorts of philosophical writings. You should care deeply about crafting interesting, stylized writing that is both philosophical and argumentative. You should likewise entertain and develop a deep appreciation for polymathic writing (i.e. spanning different ideas and interests in a single piece), be comfortable editing other people's copy, and be curious about how writers work. We are looking to hire ASAP. Bonus if you are business savvy and good at developing and furthering outreach. (Please briefly mention any such experience in your email.)
