Role overview

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Shipping EDI Clerk to join our team. This role is crucial for managing the efficient flow of goods through our shipping operations.

Responsibilities

Manage the operation of stretch wrapping equipment.
Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or containers.
Attach container labels on the outside of the stretch wrap.
Perform data entry and verify load counts.
Make necessary adjustments in the COMN system.
Consolidate loads and combine jobs on a pallet if customer requests.
Repair damaged loads.
Maintain housekeeping in the stretch wrapper area and around/under the stretch wrappers.
At times, operate a forklift.

Requirements

Good knowledge of the shipping layout, item identification codes, and basic shipping procedures is a must.
Experience using shrink-wrap and strapping equipment.
Experience with powered lift equipment.
Experience with strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment.
May require skill in operating/using a forklift truck.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand or sit for the entire duration of your shift.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
