Job Description

Role overview

Responsible for the application of cash receipts, journal entries, resolving customer claims, obtaining the necessary information from customers, and working with internal departments to find a resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Cash Application of payments received from customers.
  • Produce monthly reconciliations and status updates on assigned accounts and tiers.
  • Interact with customers via phone, email, and in writing.
  • Take customers’ refund requests and credit card payments.
  • Run maintenance reports, matching claims and credits as well as manual offset.
  • Assist customers with Accounts Receivable questions and problems.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through.
  • Accuracy and good customer service skills.
  • 2-3 years of experience in A/R.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the aptitude to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings regardless of audience.
  • Must be results-driven, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed.
  • Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through.
  • Drives change and innovation by improving work product or process, and challenges established norms where appropriate.
  • Proven ability to build supportive and constructive relationships within and outside of the organization; takes the lead in inspiring others to work together for mutual benefit.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively while also ensuring accuracy of work through attention to detail.

Logistics

  • Boston is the preferred location for this role; however, we will also consider qualified candidates who are based remotely within the United States.
  • There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
  • Occasional travel is required.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The compensation range for this position is $55,000-$60,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
