If you excel at building relationships and exceeding goals, Kendall Hunt Publishing is looking for a driven Acquisitions Sales Representative to join our team. We're seeking a talented professional with strong communication and sales skills to develop lasting partnerships with college professors.

This is a remote position with approximately 7 weeks of overnight travel per semester, alternating between one week working from home and the following week on a college campus. The ideal candidate will be located in Pennsylvania (Harrisburg, Lancaster, York, Reading, Allentown) or Maryland (Towson, Hunt Valley, Timonium, Owing Mills, Frederick).

It's your job to interview, listen for business potential, and persuade select candidates to work with your company by partnering with experts in their field. At Kendall Hunt Publishing, as an Acquisitions Sales Representative, you're the driver and decision maker. You call and travel to different colleges and universities in your territory to identify business opportunities, interview professors, and persuade author candidates that have what it takes to become Kendall Hunt authors. We want to partner with talented educators in charge of lower-level, higher-enrollment courses to develop more interactive and engaging materials that solve the needs of their students and can make an impact in their college career and in the difference, they make in the world in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Identify business opportunities by calling on and traveling to different colleges and universities in your territory.
  • Interview professors and persuade author candidates who have what it takes to become Kendall Hunt authors.
  • Partner with talented educators in charge of lower-level, higher-enrollment courses to develop more interactive and engaging materials.
  • Solve the needs of students and make an impact in their college careers and future contributions to the world.

Qualifications

  • Holds a bachelor's degree.
  • Enjoys spending time on college campuses, as you will be spending a significant amount of time on college campuses in your territory.
  • A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required, in accordance with the company's corporate driving policy.

  • Base Salary PLUS Bonus.
